My husband and I are Americans, and we spent three nights in Florence in mid-April. We had a very good stay at Prestigia Rooms. The location is ideal, and getting around is very easy.

If you have health issues, don’t book here. The property is mouldy and dirty, and they wouldn’t refund me when I tried to cancel. They made me pay despite those concerns. The staff were rude and unaccommodating. I can’t recommend this place.

We had a terrible experience with Prestigia Rooms. The photos don’t show how dusty and mouldy the rooms really are. Customer service was awful. After inspecting the rooms, they still refused a refund, even though the people planning to stay had health concerns about the room conditions. If you want to enjoy your time in Florence, I strongly recommend avoiding this place.

The location was great, but the room was extremely small and didn’t look like the online photos. The bathroom was hard to use because of the size. The fridge didn’t work and leaked water, and the water cooler in the foyer wasn’t refilled every day.

The best part is how central it is. The Duomo is about a 30-second walk away, and the room was big enough for our five-day stay. The listed amenities were there, and the bed was very comfortable. A few things let the place down. The main areas had been cleaned, but the cleanliness still fell short of hotel standards, so don't drop anything under the bed. Some fittings felt cheap, especially the toilet seat and lid, which kept coming loose. The hair dryer worked for only 2-3 minutes before overheating, then shut off for 10-30 seconds and needed several minutes to cool down. It wasn't very effective either. The A/C wasn't working when we arrived and the unit was VERY hot. It was fixed by evening, but I think that should have been dealt with before we got there. Getting in was confusing too. The entry door wasn't clear, the doorbell didn't work, and the instructions didn't explain what to do. Email got me nowhere, and it took well over 10 minutes to find a random WhatsApp number that actually replied. Our stay was okay, but the place didn't live up to expectations. It feels like a dressed-up Airbnb with room service. Great location, though the cleanliness, furnishings and check-in all need work. Not terrible, just not what we expected. 3.25 / 5
