Breakfast out at Piazza Libertá was very good, and the connections to the center and further afield were good too. The service was very good but not personalized. They should change the pillows, since poor sleep can be bad for hospitality.

Breakfast at the café right behind us was a real highlight. Everything was excellent, and the waitress looking after us was lovely. The residence was very quiet, and the instructions made it easy to arrive whenever we wanted. Our room was the cheapest, and the photos made it look much more flattering than it was. It was small and dim, with a view of an interior courtyard, basically a rooftop. I often stay in Italian guesthouses, but this was the first week-long stay where the room wasn’t cleaned even once. At €775 for six days, that was really excessive. We had two cups and tea but couldn’t wash them, the bathroom was left as it was, and the bed was never made. For me, there was no real service. That was the only negative.
