Residenza Cecchi

My wife and I stayed for 4 days and 3 nights and enjoyed the whole visit. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable, and one of the staff even made us a cappuccino. Breakfast was excellent, and the service was great. Some sights are a bit of a walk away, though still reachable on foot. I’d definitely recommend this lovely B&B in Florence.

The location worked well for us, away from the busy areas but still about a 20 minute walk from the main sights. I spent Easter in Florence with my family and had a great time. The room was spotless and had just the right amount of space for two adults and a child. The owner and staff were very kind, and breakfast had a reasonable range of choices. My only suggestion would be to improve the room doors, since they don’t block interior noise very well.

Breakfast was delicious, with European meats and cheeses, pastries, yogurt, granola, and cappuccino. Bijou and Bacco, the two cats, sometimes appeared at breakfast, which was lovely. Irene replied to emails quickly, and Lucy was so warm, welcoming, and kind each morning. Our room was huge, with a comfy bed and bedding, and the AC worked beautifully. This Florence B&B is outside the tourist centre, but it’s an easy 25-30 minute walk, or you can try the local bus and tap in with a credit card. Such a gem, I highly recommend it.

I’d happily stay at Residenza Cecchi again next time I’m in Florence. I had the "red room" and private bathroom across the way on the first floor. It was spacious, comfortable, clean, and very chic. The neighborhood is quiet and away from the sights, which suits me. It’s an easy 25-30 minute walk across the bridge to the heart of Florence. There are plenty of breakfast choices, and they’re happy to accommodate dietary restrictions if you let them know ahead of time.
