The best part is the location. It’s just steps from Piazza della Signoria, and you can reach anywhere you’d want to explore in Florence within 15 minutes. There are loads of restaurants and shops nearby, including Sephora right next door if you forgot toiletries. We were three young girls and felt very safe. Plenty of room for us, a beautiful bathroom, and the AC worked great, which mattered to us American girls. The entrance is on a busy street, so be careful about pickpockets at the main door. I had my key card ready before I arrived so I wouldn’t have to stop and search my purse. We also checked nobody was following us into the foyer before heading up the stairs to the hotel. You have to climb a flight of stairs after the main entrance to reach the residence. There usually wasn’t anyone at the front desk when we came and went, but that didn’t bother us. We generally left late in the morning and got back late at night. The staff were lovely, though their English was very limited, so have a translation app handy. Highly recommend if you know your way around Florence and don’t need help from a concierge.
