Residenza La Musa Amarcord

Getting around was easy from this safe, well-placed hotel. It’s close to the attractions but tucked into a quieter area. I stayed at Residenza La Musa in April in a triple superior room, and really enjoyed it. The place and room were lovely, spotlessly clean, and designed with a great mix of historic character and modern comfort. Marina was so kind and answered all my questions. My flight was delayed, so I arrived after 18.00, but the clear instructions made it easy to get to my room. You can leave your bags with the hotel until 17.00 after checkout. La Musa is such a find in Florence. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and we felt welcome right away. We loved how an old residence had been turned into a simple, elegant, luxurious hotel. I wanted to get back early each day just to enjoy the room. Its spot in the “quiet center” made it easy to shop and find meals, while still giving us a calm break from the city bustle. A must-stay!

We loved staying here with our 6-month-old, and they had a crib ready for us. The service was great, breakfast simple and lovely, and the room was perfectly cleaned each day. Everything was impeccably clean. The location is quiet but within walking distance of all the main spots, with some great restaurants just around the corner. The hotel is in a 200-year-old building, newly renovated to combine elegance with modern luxury, and it even has an elevator so there’s no need to haul bags up the stairs. We’d absolutely come back to Florence.

Engli, the manager, was so kind and helpful, shared great local tips, and always checked that we were comfortable. The staff made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. This charming old Florentine residence keeps its original architecture while offering modern comforts, with a cozy, inviting feel. It’s ideally placed for exploring Florence’s main sights on foot. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would happily return.
