Romantic Room Duomo

Just perfect!

The service was awful. They don't tell you in advance that reception is a five-minute walk from the rooms, even with all your luggage. They also charge per bag if you want to leave luggage in storage. Terrible.

The central location and partial view of the cathedral were the only good parts. The room was filthy and untidy when we arrived. We were told the cleaner hadn't made it in time and were asked to go look around, even though we'd given them our arrival time and had to wait until 3pm for check-in. We got the keys at 3:30pm and reached the room at 3:45pm, after traveling since early morning and wanting to wash up and rest. They said they'd see if the cleaner could come. She eventually arrived and started tidying, but didn't even wash the floor. There were unsanitized toilets, toilet rolls scattered around, and not even a bottle of soap. There was only a dispenser at the sink and one in the shower. I don't want to know what was on the curtain. Dust about five inches thick had collected between the headboard, the “nightstand,” the lamps, and the wooden divider. The problems began before we even got the keys. After we'd booked, they messaged in the late afternoon to say our room wasn't available for some reason and they'd switch us to another. We tried to reach the property for details and to secure the reservation, but nobody answered until 10am the next morning, when we'd already be on our way. To collect the keys, we had to go somewhere else, where they handed them over and told us where to go. They said they were available only until 6pm and didn't even give us an emergency number for later. I'm truly sorry, but this was a terrible experience. They'll never see us again.

A clean, spacious room.
