Silver Novella Luxury Apartment

Luca, the owner, was so helpful and accommodating. The apartment has lovely old-world character alongside modern conveniences, and it’s a luxurious, top-notch place. It’s an easy walk from the train station, yet still feels like old Florence. I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else in the city.

We really liked this apartment and I’d highly recommend it. It’s spacious, well located for walking to the main sights and restaurants, and has two high-quality bathrooms. It’s well equipped for longer stays, with a washing machine and dishwasher, and communication with the owners and management team was very good. The doors and keys were a bit of a comedy: four huge doors, each with a different set of keys. Somehow I was the only one in our group who could work them out. The crockery needs attention too. Some pieces were chipped or cracked, and there were only three wine glasses for an apartment with two double beds. From April to June, some Italian rules apparently prevent air conditioning and heating. It could feel a little cool inside when it was below about 20°C outside, though most of our trip was warmer than that. When it reached 29°C outdoors, the apartment felt a bit warm. With the bedroom windows open for air, traffic and people noise was really bad. Shut them and you could hardly hear anything. The internal courtyard got no direct sunlight and had a jumble of odd items. The neighbors were incredibly noisy, and there were mozzies. The ceiling upstairs in the lounge and TV room was too low even for a 14-year-old.

We got the stay we’d hoped for. The photos were accurate, and both the apartment and the service were great. Luca and his team were accommodating and very helpful. They met us at the train station and walked us to the apartment. We really hope to visit Florence again and stay with them.

The rooms were spacious and very clean, and the apartment is close to the train station. You can also walk to Ponte Vecchio and the famous shopping streets. Mr Luca was kind and helpful, even coming to the station to meet us and show us the way. My family and I had a great time here. Everything about the apartment was superb.
