Stay in the Heart of Florence

The location is the big draw here. It’s right in Florence’s old center, a short walk from the Duomo and handy for exploring. We mostly spent our time out, so the street noise didn’t bother us much. We actually found it charming and fun, though it’s lively. The rooms are basic, and the apartment could use some renovation. A few outlets didn’t work, and there was no hot water one morning, which was rough after a long night dancing. The hosts understood how confusing it can be to drive in the city, and sent a valet to collect our car. The apartment is in a pedestrian-only zone, so you’ll need to park in a garage and walk over. Check-in was quick; just bring your ID and be ready to pay the city hospitality tax. They’d left snacks and a bottle of spumante, which was a nice treat after the drive. There were plenty of beds for us to crash in after a late night. If you want a posh or traditional old Italia place, this probably isn’t it. We needed a central spot, and it worked perfectly for that.

It was spacious and clean, and having a washing machine was a huge bonus on a long holiday. The location was handy, though getting from check-in to the apartment meant a long walk.

The location was pretty good, but the noise kept waking me up several times on both nights I stayed.

The location was very good, and it was surprisingly quiet. There wasn’t enough equipment for six people.
