Villino Fiorentino

We had ten family members and friends in Firenze for a week at the end of May 2024 to celebrate my son’s graduation, and we used all the rooms. The Villa made everyone feel at home. Rooms were clean and looked like the photos, and the parking outside the ZTL was a godsend. The nearby tram stop was handy for anyone wanting a shorter walk into the city center. Odette was a delight to work with. She suggested restaurants, arranged a special dinner for all of us at the Villa, found a van driver to take us to Verrazano for a wine tour, and made breakfast every day, including barista service. She even did our laundry. We told her we’d try to come back, hopefully for another celebration.

The parking inside is secure and convenient, but the space is quite small and tricky to get in and out of. If you can, park once when you arrive and leave the car there, since it’s easy to get around the historic part of Florence without driving. VF is in a clean, elegant neighborhood that’s close enough to the historic center but peaceful at night. You can walk or take a nearby tram for three stops. The villa is elegant and has been refurbished to a very high standard, with sophisticated furniture and decor. It was spotless and even smelled lovely inside. Odette served an excellent breakfast, especially the pastries, and was very friendly and professional. Sara, the owner, has everything organized well and was helpful, attentive, and interesting to talk with. Bravissime! I’d happily return if I get the chance.

Sara was an amazing host, and the house is beautiful. We had the elegant, comfortable master bedroom upstairs for our four-night stay, with a truly enormous bathroom. Being able to park the car in the garden is a real plus in Florence. It’s an old family house that’s been renovated, so sound carries between the rooms and corridor. The main entrance can be opened with a code, and the buzzer can be quite loud when guests come back late.

Odette was quick to reply to my questions on WhatsApp and communicated clearly. The room was fresh and very clean, and we had a lovely stay at the Villino Fiorentino. It’s a little outside the center, but the walk takes about 15 minutes. Stop at Medici for a gelato on the way. They offered us parking inside the gates, though we found a spot outside without any trouble. 5/5
