Wall Up Apartment

Paolo was incredibly kind and helpful. He lives next door, welcomed us in person for check-in and check-out, handed over the keys, and showed us around. He also offered to carry our two large bags up the last flight of stairs to the penthouse. On arrival, there was a Florentine dessert baked by a local chef and a complimentary bottle of bubbly, a lovely touch. The apartment has classic Italian charm, with beautiful ceilings and generously sized rooms. It’s in a residential building with quiet hours, though that wasn’t a problem for us or the kids after full days exploring. It’s a five-minute walk to a bus stop with direct service to the city centre, and there’s a supermarket around the corner. We were lucky to find parking for every day of our stay. A couple of things to know: there’s one flight of stairs to the apartment, and check-in and check-out are in person.
