Agriturismo Don Mauro

Such a nice place!

The pool was a real highlight, with loungers, umbrellas, and a shallow area for kids. There are several outdoor spots to relax too. Agriturismo Don Mauro is a welcoming B&B about a 15-minute drive from Syracuse, handy for visiting Neapolis, Ortigia, the Anapo Valley, the Pantalica site, and the Vendicari nature reserve. You reach it by car along a private driveway. Our room was spacious, clean, and cool, with air conditioning, a fridge, and its own shower bathroom. Breakfast was delicious, especially the homemade jams and excellent coffee. Anthony was attentive and easy to ask for advice or help. He, his wife, and their very calm dogs made us feel at home.

The owners were so kind and helpful, and our room was clean. This farmhouse is tucked into nature, away from the bustle, and suited us perfectly for a few relaxing days. With a car, Syracuse is 15 minutes away, and there are several beaches within 10-15 km. I’d definitely recommend it.

We spent time relaxing by the pool in the Sicilian sun, and the beach is only a 20-minute drive. The location also makes it easy to get to cities like Siracus and Noto, plus several nature reserves for hiking. The place has a beautiful orange grove, comfortable air-conditioned rooms, and excellent Sicilian food. The couple who run it were warm and welcoming. I couldn’t imagine a better agriturismo.
