Elegant Castle Stay With Pool

We came across this place by chance on our trip and stayed for one night, traveling with friends. We booked both a quadruple room and an apartment, and everything was new, clean, and well looked after. The welcome and service were excellent. The quadruple room had a little entry area with coffee and tea, plus a small table and two stools for having a drink made with the provided supplies. There was a very spacious double bedroom, and another bedroom with a sofa, mini-fridge, complimentary water, and two single beds. Both bedrooms had a closet and desk. The bathroom had a window, ventilation, and a very comfortable shower. The apartment had one double bedroom and a fully equipped kitchen, with coffee and sugar available. It’s right in the town center and well placed for exploring the Tuscan hills. We love Tuscany, so we saved the address for future trips. I’d definitely recommend it. It’s very clean and otherwise quite nice, but I can’t give it five stars. The apartment is basic, and the heating was set too low and ran for too little time. It was cold when we arrived and stayed that way for the whole visit, which made the place feel unwelcoming. There’s no TV in the living room, no dishwasher, and no light in the shower.

The apartment is in the historic center and has a generous living area and large rooms. Everything was spotless, sanitized in line with Covid rules, and the whole building smelled lovely when we walked in. The renovation was done with taste, and the place felt welcoming. The kitchen was a good size and had plenty of dishes, cleaning supplies, and bins. The mattress and pillows were good quality. We hadn’t expected to need the heating, but turning it on in the evening made the stay more comfortable. The owner was courteous and quick to reply from our very first contact.

Manola was helpful and polite, and made me feel comfortable right away. The apartment was spotless and welcoming, and it can sleep three comfortably, even though I was there on my own. It’s on the third floor of an older building, just a few meters from the little square outside the city gates. Parking there is free, and the location is really convenient. Five stars!
