Hotel Giardino - Follonica

I stayed at hotel Giardino on a business trip and found the service good and the room clean. It's also well placed for a holiday, close to the sea and to picturesque Italian towns like Follonica, Massa marittima, Firenze, and others. Hotel Giardino works well for a family summer break.

The lack of parking is the main drawback at this old-style place. Otherwise it's okay, at least for a short stay.

We had a really relaxing week at the Giardino Hotel in Follonica. My mother, my partner, and I are Sardinians through and through, but after years living in the province of Florence, various things meant we couldn't get back to Sardinia this summer. We looked for somewhere to unwind for at least a week, and had a great time here. The room was a little dated, though it had all the comforts we needed. Everyone was welcoming and attentive, from management and reception to the breakfast girls. Mrs. Pia greeted us with surprising kindness, and Barbara and Alessandra were just as lovely. Luigi, the very friendly shuttle driver, took us to the hotel's private beach, where the staff were welcoming and the beach was well kept. The sea in my beloved Sardinia is wonderful, of course, but this one isn't bad at all. I'd choose this hotel again if I returned, and recommend it.
