The only hassle was the dirt road up to the property. Once there, though, we had a lovely two-night stay with our two young children. The staff were so kind and attentive, and made sure all our needs were taken care of. The property is set in beautiful green countryside and has a pool that's suitable for children.

We paid for a service we never got, and they wouldn't refund even €1. After several problems and arguments with one of the owners, we were told to leave, supposedly politely, just because we were asking for what we had paid for. We had booked for one night. I absolutely wouldn't recommend this place. Rude, incompetent management, and a business run this way doesn't deserve to stay open.

The beds were unbelievably uncomfortable, and mine even had broken slats. I also found the soundproofing awful, since we could hear everything from the other rooms and downstairs. Our bathroom was downstairs in the shared kitchen and lounge, so there was no privacy. In my view, the setup needs rethinking: this would work better as a whole-house rental or for a group that already knows each other. The location itself is beautiful and very convenient for Rome and Tivoli.

The shower was clogged and only ran cold, and the room's old TV didn't work. I was put in an attic room with barely enough headroom to move around safely, plus an awkward access ladder. I booked after seeing a very misleading ad on Booking.com, and ended up paying twice the price advertised in big letters there.
