The wine was so good that I brought a few bottles home, and breakfast was generous every morning, always made with fresh ingredients. The owner and staff were warm and ready to help with anything we asked. I only got to try the owner's cooking once, so next time I’m definitely choosing full board. I’ll be back for sure. Set high on a lovely hill, the place was unexpectedly peaceful, with incredible sea views and sunsets from the terrace pool. I was really happy spending a week here.

The spacious, comfortable room had a terrace facing the sea, and the pool was a lovely place to unwind after a day at the beach. We rented a car and found it easy to explore the whole island from Agriturismo La Pergola, which is also just minutes from Forio center and Citara beach. The views stretch out to Ventotene, Ponza, and Palmarola, with beautiful sunsets over the water. Giosuè has made a peaceful spot among vineyards and fruit trees, and his own produce goes into traditional Ischian meals from breakfast through dinner. The fig and strawberry jam, tuna in oil, and Ischian-style rabbit were especially memorable. There are vegetarian dishes too, made with vegetables from his garden. Hospitality really is at the heart of this place, and staying here makes it easy to enjoy Ischia. Recommended!

We left feeling that we'd had a wonderful, almost magical break on Ischia. The hosts made us feel at home among their vineyard and animals, who are always happy to get a pat. From the pool to the open-air spaces, there are lovely views across the sea and of the sunsets. Add the food, the service, and the setting high up on the island, and it’s a place that makes it easy to relax. We highly recommend it.

The rooms were big, comfortable, and spacious, though the walls are so thin that noisy adults or a large family nearby could make things difficult. We didn’t rent transport and got around on the many buses, but they’re often crowded. Walking isn’t a great option either, since cars speed by on streets that aren’t pedestrian-friendly. Because the hotel is somewhat isolated, I’d suggest a small car or scooter for more freedom, even though that quiet location also brings a wonderful view and peace. We stayed four days and came away completely relaxed. The pool was fun, and the sunsets were incredible. Service was lovely, and the view is magnificent. Breakfast felt fit for a king, and dinner is worth trying at least once. Everything tasted fresh, whether from the restaurant or at breakfast. I’d definitely recommend the stay. It has a few little drawbacks, but it’s still a magical place. We’ll be back.
