Hotel Terme Tritone Resort & Spa

We paid about 300€ a night, and the stay was awful. The hotel is in a spectacular location, but the issues ruined the visit, and the staff didn't show the usual Italian hospitality. The place also felt badly maintained. The gym was a joke, with two or three bicycles, a treadmill, and four rusty dumbbells. The terme was advertised as something impressive, but inside there were only two smallish pools and a jacuzzi. The breakfast selection was poor. There were no vegetables except some tomatoes, and the same cold cuts and scrambled and boiled eggs every day, which ran out quickly. Breakfast was listed as 7:30 to 10:00, but at 9:40 there was nothing left because the waiters cleared it away before closing. They don't have a proper restaurant either. The only option is half board with a set menu of three antipasti, primi, and secondi choices, and you have to choose at breakfast. There's no a la carte, so we went out every night to eat somewhere proper. The worst part was how they handled the room booking. On Bo*king.com they don't list the room tiers, advertise the standard room simply as a “double room,” and show pictures of a room two tiers higher. We booked a double room there, then got a small, cramped, dark ground-floor room outside the main building. It was advertised as 20 square meters, but seemed at most 13, like a prison cell. When we raised this, they said we'd booked that room and that was that, unless we paid 40€ per night to upgrade. They were confrontational and not at all willing to resolve it, even after we contacted the booking platform. We eventually paid to upgrade, and the room we got was the one shown in the booking photos.

We spent six nights here on half board and had a positive stay. We chose La Vela restaurant for dinner. The dining room manager seemed a bit dry and “salty” on the first evening, but the rest of the staff were attentive, professional, and pleasant throughout. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent, with well-prepared food in a calm, comfortable setting. The hotel was very clean and well maintained, and staff across the property were consistently professional. Whenever we asked the front desk for something, they followed up clearly. We especially enjoyed the spacious, relaxing indoor pool, along with the small but pleasant private beach. Most guests were seniors, with a few families around, but that wasn't an issue for me or my two teenage children. We liked the quiet, serene atmosphere, especially compared with the noisy, crowded places we've experienced, like Punta Cana. An excellent stay. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, tranquility, and efficient service in a beautiful setting.

What a gem of an Old-Europe-Style Hotel. The location is world class, with crystal clear water, so bring your goggles, and a great beach. The rooms are spacious, and the terraces are spectacular. The Spa-Area with thermal water and fango was wonderful, especially with the great Columba applying it. Friendly service and beautiful rooms made for a truly great holiday. A sundowner cocktail on the terrace, looking out over the ocean and sunset, felt magical. I recommend Tritone-Sprizz.

The views are amazing, but our honeymoon at this resort was a huge disappointment. The air conditioning couldn't cool our room properly, so we were constantly hot. On our honeymoon in Italy, we stayed at plenty of other resorts that were nowhere near this hot. To fellow Americans, take other guests' warnings about the inadequate AC seriously. The place is marketed as young and luxurious, but it felt like the opposite. The decor, amenities, and food seemed geared toward a very old crowd. Restaurant meals were mediocre, like nursing home food, and cost much more than local restaurants just a few minutes' walk away. Staff were extremely rude and unhelpful. My wife and I often felt unwelcome, and we even overheard them complaining because we asked for a cappuccino at breakfast. The one good thing was the view. You can find much better accommodation with similar views and friendlier staff.
