L' Ostello

We booked a triple room, but it was no bigger than a double. During our three-day stay, the sheets were never changed. When we brought it up, the owner said, “If you want your sheets changed daily, go to a 5-star hotel.” At payment, we were told debit cards weren’t accepted and were sent to withdraw cash at the bank. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The hotel was peaceful, and we found it very good value. We stayed from the 13th to the 17th and had been a little doubtful at first, but the family running it gave us a warm welcome and were helpful and knowledgeable about the island. Their advice helped us find beautiful spots and good food. Our room was simple and cleaned every day, as was the bathroom. The bathroom was a little small but fine. From the terrace, with its umbrella, table and chairs, there’s a panoramic view of Sant'Angelo. The bus stop is just a few metres away, making it easy to get around, though buses can be crowded in August. There’s a supermarket two minutes away and a bar close by. I’d absolutely recommend staying here.

I don’t know the place very well, but I’m not expecting much.

It’s a very out-of-the-way spot, and the rooms are tiny.
