Tenuta del Poggio Antico

The hotel is tucked into the hills of Ischia, with an incredible view, and the whole property feels peaceful and quiet. Service was outstanding, and breakfast every morning was 10/10. The shuttle was handy for the quick drive to the beach. Even though you’re away from the town center and beach, there are several great restaurants just a 2-5 minute walk from the hotel. We absolutely loved this unique boutique stay and would recommend it to anyone travelling to Ischia. We did see lots of bees, our one very small issue, but nobody got stung.

The setting at Poggio Antico is such a peaceful green oasis, with gorgeous views. Breakfast was extensive, with plenty of sweet and savory choices, and the cappuccino was great. They also make homemade lunch options with vegetables straight from the garden. The shuttle can be useful on those narrow, winding roads. The staff were truly wonderful and made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. We had an amazing time, would definitely recommend it, and will be back.

For anyone looking for water therapy, I was surprised by how powerful the personal jets in the pool were. They’re available at posiedon too, but after trying these, we decided not to go on to Poseidon. The accommodations were deluxe, beyond anything I expected, and the staff were superlative. Everywhere you look is majestic, with no expense spared in creating or maintaining the place. Go ahead and book, it feels like being at a Four Seasons.

We spent our honeymoon at Poggio and had the most wonderful stay. The surroundings are so serene, and the hotel itself is beautiful. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. They gave us plenty of ideas for things to do and helped arrange activities. A big thank you to Francesco and his team for looking after us so well. We hope to return to this lovely island and hotel someday.
