Hotel Globo

There’s a bit of old-school charm here, but the hotel is clean, well kept, quiet, and comfortable. It suited both a family trip and business travel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and housekeeping did a fantastic job every day. Breakfast was a highlight, fresh, tasty, and with lots of variety. A really pleasant stay with great service and atmosphere. I’d definitely come back.

The garden is lovely, with table tennis and decent bats, and my kids enjoyed the pool and gym. I didn’t try those facilities myself. The hotel may look a little dated at first, but that’s only cosmetic; everything else was very, very good. Staff were friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast exceeded expectations, and while the restaurant menu is small, the food is excellent. The spaghetti arrabbiatta was exceptional! It seems to cater more to business guests or wedding parties than tourists, but for families visiting the local car museums, Modena, or Bologna, it’s a quiet, good-value option with great staff.

Breakfast was good, though I wish I’d known on the first day that I could order eggs. By 9.30am there wasn’t the same range as at 8.30. The hotel was okay, but the pool didn’t have enough chairs for everyone, so we had to sit on the uncovered grass. The carpet in the room made our noses react. I’m not sure if it wasn’t cleaned often or was just too dry.

The pool was clean and relaxing, with loungers, tables, plants, and trees around it. Inside, the lobby, bar, and room were all comfortable and nicely designed. The staff were kind and helpful.
