Albergo Villa Gradita

I stayed with my family at the end of June 2023, and opening the window to see the sea right there was spectacular. It’s a small, clean, well-kept two-star hotel, a few steps from the beach and an easy walk to the center. The basic room had air conditioning. The staff were very kind, helpful, and always available. With Forte dei Marmi prices being what they are, I’d recommend it to anyone wanting a holiday here without spending a fortune. The one drawback is the lack of an elevator.

The beds were comfortable, and the breakfast nook by the entrance was a nice touch, with self-service machines for hot and cold drinks. Bike rentals are available, though they’re expensive, in line with local prices. The hotel feels like an old-fashioned holiday guesthouse and is very basic throughout. A little fridge in the room would be ideal. It’s in what I think is the prettiest part of Forte dei Marmi, without being too noisy or too isolated.

A dreadful stay, and I don’t think I’ll come back. In room 310, the mattresses sagged and the bathroom was tiny. I had to hold the shower head in one hand because it wouldn’t stay in its bracket. The closet rail was too high for anyone under 1.75 meters to hang clothes. On top of that, noise from all the neighboring rooms came through.

It’s right by the beach and very well kept, with spotless rooms and exceptionally friendly staff. The hotel has a two-star rating because there’s no elevator. There isn’t a breakfast room, but the excellent buffet at the owner’s other property, Hotel Raffaelli, is available.
