The setting is incredible, and it goes a long way toward making up for the problems with this place. If you don’t spend much time in your room, you might get by. We paid 1860 euros for 6 nights, presumably for the location, but the apartment clearly hasn’t had repairs. The balcony door wouldn’t close, and every cupboard, shelf and kitchen unit creaked. My father couldn’t fit in the shower, the shower silicone was moldy, and the bathroom towel rail kept coming off the wall. The owner should put some of the money toward renovations now and then; those details really matter and would help their reputation. I’m giving three stars because the online listing was misleading. It isn’t a house rental or an entire holiday house, it’s an apartment. There are two apartments, plus a third in the garden, so the beach isn’t private for you alone and has to be shared with people staying in the other two. Even Booking.com says the whole property is rented, but that isn’t true. It’s the whole apartment that’s rented. Still, thank you for a wonderful vacation. The place is beautiful.

There’s private access to the sea from the garden, and a panoramic terrace with sublime views across the whole gulf. The house looks out over the pedestrian and cycle path on one side and directly toward the sea on the other. It’s a great place for a morning swim, or an afternoon run or bike ride along the path.

The lounge bar and bistro look out over the Trabocchi Coast of Fossacesia, and the property itself is elegant and right by the sea. Congratulations to Fabrizio and his family.
