Un Posto Al Sole

We paid for a second night but had to leave early, and they didn't refund the unused night. I'd booked on Booking.com and specifically asked for a quiet room. The host agreed and guaranteed one, but that wasn't our experience. The guest rooms are downstairs, while he and his family live upstairs, something the listing didn't mention. At 6:20 in the morning we woke to blinds being raised, furniture and chairs moving, and clogs crossing the floor. It went on until 8. When I reported it, the host was extremely rude, denied it all, and questioned what I said, even though both of us had woken up for the same reason. An experience I'd cancel if I could. Totally dishonest and not recommended.

The owner is a wonderful person, always kind and available, and he brought fresh water to the room every day at no charge. My room was even nicer than the photos, smelled lovely, and was very clean when I arrived. The B&B is handy for the beach, bus stop, bars, restaurants, and the nearby Oasi supermarket, which you can walk to. Because of the Covid situation, breakfast was served at a nearby bar. The only slight drawbacks for me were no air conditioning and a private bathroom just outside the room. Neither was a major problem. I'll definitely be back, it was a great stay.

The room was decent and the beachside location was good, though it's far from amenities. The manager lives upstairs and gets up early. By 6:20 AM, the constant footsteps made it impossible to sleep.

Francavilla al Mare has clean beaches and clear water, and it's a quiet town, maybe a little too quiet. Pescara is only a few kilometers away and easy to get to. This brand-new B&B has a shabby chic feel, sits right by the beach, and offers private parking. It's on the ground floor, with just two rooms, each with its own bathroom.
