Casal dei Fichi

Bob and Ian have become good friends, and I imagine other guests feel just as warmly toward these wonderful hosts. We've stayed at Casal dei Fichi twice. One year they organized an excellent truffle hunt followed by a delicious lunch with plenty of truffles. We always enjoy the pizza parties too, and their suggestions for places to visit and eat are spot on. The apartments are spacious, beautiful, and well equipped, with a spectacular setting and views. Heaven on earth.

The week at Casal dei Fichi was the highlight of our memorable trip to the Le Marche region. It's a special little paradise, lovingly managed by the owners. From the property you look out over green rolling hills, vineyards, fruit trees, and olive trees, like a postcard. The apartments are comfortable, nicely decorated, and have everything you might need for a relaxing stay. Bob and Ian are generous hosts. We loved pizza night, the resident pets, vegetables fresh from the garden, and fresh eggs. We'd highly recommend Casal dei Fichi for an Italian holiday.

It's hard to tear yourself away from the peaceful gardens and swimming pool. We stayed in the Rossini apartment, which was spacious, well equipped, and stayed cool in the heat. Ian & Bob are charming, knowledgeable hosts. Beyond the property, the landscape is classic Italy, with rolling hills, vineyards, olive groves, hilltop towns, and mountain views. The area feels unspoilt, with easy access to the coast, interesting historic towns, and excellent restaurants. Another wonderful stay at Casal dei Fichi. Highly recommended.

We spent many days outside with a glass of wine, simply relaxing and taking in the magnificent views. We visited in early October, so it was too cool to swim, though I'm sure the pool is refreshing in warmer weather. The weekly pizza night was a highlight: guests gather for wine and conversation, plus homemade pizzas from the wood fired oven. Casal dei Fichi was a wonderful, restful stay. The apartments are comfortable and equipped for a holiday, and there's plenty to explore nearby, from small towns to coastal villages, though you'll need a car. Bob and Ian know the area well and gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants and places to shop.
