Il Cucù

The owner was easy to contact and always available, and the train station is close by. Our room had plenty of space, and breakfast included fruit, juice, cereal, jam, and more. If you're used to poor sound insulation in Italian apartments, this one is easily among the best soundproofed. Thank you, Flavia!

The shared kitchen and bathroom never made B&B Il Cucu feel like a hostel. With just two other rooms sharing them, it felt much more private. Everything was very clean, nicely decorated, and had all we needed. The self-service breakfast worked especially well on the mornings we got up early, and new items were added each day. The place looked much better in person than in the photos, and exceeded what we expected. We spent five nights there and kept telling each other how glad we were to stay in Frascati instead of Rome. Frascati is quiet and pleasant, with lovely architecture to see on a walk, plus gelato. Cafes, restaurants, and gelaterias are only a few minutes away. There are also several manors nearby and an archaeological site up a hill within hiking distance. Getting around was easy: the train ride from Rome Termini to Frascati takes about 30 minutes, and B&B Il Cucu is less than a five-minute walk from Frascati station. That was quicker than reaching some of Rome's suburbs. It's a great base for visiting Rome, Frascati, and the surrounding area. Flavia was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. She let us check in earlier than planned and even offered us Italian espresso. She was reachable on WhatsApp throughout our stay, and when we asked about other nice towns to visit, she suggested a great one we could easily get to from Frascati. :)

We really enjoyed having a peaceful place outside the city, while still being only half an hour from Roma. It’s a lovely B&B, and I’d definitely come back. Enjoy!
