We were about 10 minutes from town for pizza or groceries, and Naples and Pompeii were a little over an hour away. The villa is quiet, beautiful, and within reach of must-visit sights like Pompeii. It sits in a very rural area with dark, small, bumpy roads, so I'd avoid arriving for the first time at night if possible, even though it's not far from town. Once there, the villa was lit up and music was playing throughout. Our host greeted us warmly, and we even met some of the kitties who live on the property. Salvatore was very communicative beforehand, which we appreciated. We had the place to ourselves, and he quickly showed us the light switches and how to use the professional kitchen. The kitchen view and the walkway to the bedrooms were stunning. The rooms are up in the building's tower, nicely decorated and very clean. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for somewhere off the beaten path.

The owner spoke English very well and walked us through the amenities. We loved the beautiful valley view, the spacious kitchen, and all the lovely outdoor areas with multiple hammocks.

The main building is incredible, and the surrounding nature is beautiful. We really did adore the property, which is why we told the staff and others who were there how much we appreciated it. But we only got to enjoy the grounds briefly and from a distance. We slept in a very small room far away, and the shared areas didn't feel like they were meant for us. We found the room much too small for the price. In our opinion, the photos, which showed other rooms and parts of the property, and the description calling it a “double suite” gave a misleading impression. Perhaps that wasn't intended, but we found it misleading and think others might too. It's a particularly unpleasant feeling on a vacation you've saved for over many months. The room was also dirty, with someone else's hair in the shower and old spiderwebs. Things we consider basic, like glasses and a kettle, weren't available. There was also a hot water problem. In the middle of a cold night, the shower suddenly turned cold. After we reported it, we were shown how to go around back and restart the heater, which took a few minutes while we were showering. That was another unpleasant part of the stay. We also felt it was unfair to have temporary volunteers serve as the guest contacts. They had only recently arrived, so we didn't feel we could complain to them or that they could do much about the situation. We couldn't really explain in the moment how poorly hosted we felt, since we didn't think it was the volunteers' fault. The host's ability to speak four languages is impressive, but he wasn't there. We ended up communicating either with a cook who didn't speak English or with the volunteers, to whom we did express our disappointment.

The animals were all sweet and friendly, and there were kittens too. Our room had A/C, which kept it cool while we fell asleep. The hosts made us feel so at home, and they cooked a multi-course meal with pasta, appetizers, fresh cheese, and more. It was some of the best food we've had in Italy. Everything felt magical, from the scent of the flowers and the beautiful view to the cozy room. The mountain setting was peaceful and quiet, like a hidden gem. We couldn't have imagined a better stay, and I truly plan to return with all my friends. This place is one of a kind. Thank you, thank you, thank you for everything. I'm still blown away. ☺️

A dream come true, wow wow wow! I don't want to leave, and we'll definitely return. What an amazing mix of powerful nature, great company, wonderful food, and perfect hosts. Mamma mia!
