Costa degli Ulivi

The family running the place were kind and helpful, and made us feel welcome during our wonderful 3 night stay for our 30th anniversary. Waking up to the vineyard and olive tree views was magical, just like the Italy you dream about. It was fascinating to be there during the olive harvest and watch it happening. Our room was comfortable and attractive, the shower was great, and breakfast was good. The friendly dog kept us entertained. We could buy olive oil and wine to enjoy ourselves and take home as gifts, and both were excellent quality. No complaints at all, a wonderful experience.

The restaurant was outstanding, though the number of insects flying around in the evening was overwhelming. Our room was big and clean, and the staff were very nice. There's a clean pool up on the hill with lovely views. A small kiosk there serves drinks and crisps; it would have been nice to have lunch or an aperitivo available too.

The vineyard view from the balcony was amazing, and I really enjoyed sitting outside to take it in. You can hear lots of songbirds, and owls at night. The location was handy for visiting nearby attractions, and we had a good stay. Staff were very nice and friendly.

We came back for our second stay, three years after the first, and the general standard has been maintained. The setting among green hills lined with vines and olive trees is beautiful and wonderfully peaceful. The pool is a nice extra, with a small bar for an aperitif or other drinks, and there's also a tennis court for anyone wanting to be more active. Just one small observation about breakfast: when it gets busy, popular items could be replenished a bit faster. Some guests arrive later while still within the breakfast hours, after those items have run out. They do eventually get replaced, so it's not a big problem, just a matter of making it a little more timely.
