The scenery from the farm is unforgettable, and Andreas even took us and our luggage to the bus stop when we checked out. Thanks to the Messner family for such a great start to our Italy trip. We’d picked this place for its hiking access after finding it through a blog recommendation. Our double room Raschotz was modern, clean, and had a very comfortable bed. The property was well cared for, and Andreas and the staff were helpful throughout. I’d sent Andreas several questions about the terrain and getting there before our stay, and he answered promptly and thoroughly, which made arriving by public transport straightforward. The bus stop is about an eight-minute walk away. The electronic Dolomite pass included with our booking made it easy to get to nearby villages and trails. Breakfast was fresh each morning, with hot and cold food and drinks, and there were several restaurants within walking distance for lunch or dinner.

Our stay was great. The room was spacious, modern, and new, with a comfortable bed and a peaceful night’s sleep. Everything was clean, and the view from this perfect spot in Santa Magdalena is amazing. You can walk up to St.Magdalena church from here.

The setting is lovely, with open meadows all around and beautiful views. In the morning, the cowbells are your gentle wake-up call. Our room was clean, comfortable, and roomy. Parking was easy, and the host kindly arranged the room we’d asked for. The mom who welcomed us at check-in was lovely and had some great tips.

The family were so kind and helpful, and breakfast was wonderful. The rooms were clean and comfortable, too. It’s an amazingly beautiful place, and I’d recommend it to anyone.

We stayed two nights in October 2024, in a ground-floor room facing the parking lot. It was quiet, and we never heard cars coming or going. The room itself is very basic and quite tiny, so leave the enormous suitcases at home. For a longer stay, an apartment would probably be better. There’s no coffee maker or mini fridge, but Andreas was happy to lend us a kettle. The Santa Magdalena Panorama trail starts just a few steps away, and you can see the Odle/Geisler mountains right from the hotel parking lot. Breakfast had plenty of delicious choices, and the hosts went above and beyond. Check the directions to Proihof ahead of time and use Google Maps. We followed iPhone Maps and ended up in the wrong place. Luckily an elderly lady helped us out. Knowing some German would be useful.
