Villa Messner

We first visited in June 2023 and are heading back to Villa Messner in late September 2024. It’s a magical place, with lovely people. The rooms are very clean, nicely decorated and have fully equipped kitchens. We liked the view from our room, but the dining room view was even better. Breakfast was delicious, with a wide selection, and was the best of our trip. The owner and staff were friendly and attentive. We loved everything and can’t wait to return next month!

This is a beautiful hotel in a wonderful setting with amazing views. It was close to perfect for us, though coffee-making facilities and perhaps a fridge in the room would be nice additions.

My husband and I loved staying here, and the Dolomites are so beautiful. Our trip didn't go as planned because our car broke down, but the hiking trails around the villa kept us occupied for two full days. The neighboring town is lovely, and people there were so kind to us. We'll definitely come back. The location is hard to beat: close to the town center, but not right in the middle of everything. Breakfast was healthy and tasty, and the tap water comes from a spring, so it tastes sweet and crisp. Monika, the owner, was incredibly kind. You can tell how much care went into the interior as soon as you walk in. It feels genuine, with amazing attention to detail. We've traveled a lot, and this place easily makes our top three. The floorboards creak when you walk, but to me that's natural in the mountains and adds to the experience. I guess it depends how you look at it.

We stayed in the Messner Room, and it was exquisite. Monika was such a great host, and staying there felt like being in her own home, which makes sense since her family has owned the hotel for a long time. The hotel is lovely and convenient, right in the heart of the Dolomites. We'll definitely be back.
