Residence Verde Blu

The greenery around the property makes it feel like a lovely place for a proper vacation, and Mr. Marcello was so warm and friendly that it felt as if we’d known him for years. Just a couple of steps away, we found a good pizzeria restaurant where we had delicious pizza. The menu also had meat, fish, and local dishes. We’ll definitely come back to Fuscaldo. Our apartment seemed to have every comfort: the built-in kitchen had a big table, and the living room had two sofa beds, one on each side, for families with two or three children. There was a lovely living room, a large bedroom with a very comfortable bed, and a spacious bathroom. The sheets and towels were white and smelled fresh. I didn’t spot a washing machine, though the hookups were already there, so maybe they’ll install one soon. We were only there for one night and left very early, so I can’t say more about the apartment.

There was no hot water because the boiler was faulty, and the bedroom had no light bulbs at all. The bathrooms were old, with holes visible in the tiles, a tiny shower tray and curtain, and rusty, aging taps. The synthetic terrycloth linens didn’t help. There were no comforts to speak of, and the furnishings and bathrooms made the place feel uncomfortably uncomfortable. The property sits right by the main road and railway, and at night restaurant customers fill the parking lot, so you risk getting your car stuck when trying to leave. The price is expensive. An exceptional overnight stay, and never again. Highly not recommended, at least if you’re used to anything else. Troglodyte Calabria, and I’ll stop there.

We had a good experience overall, and the prices seemed reasonable. The starters were excellent, though the seafood appetizer was a little skimpy.

Mr. Marcello was genuinely kind and very helpful, and I want to thank him publicly. We had a great stay at a quiet, clean place that was well located for getting around.
