The location near the beach was good, but cleanliness was lacking, the room and bathroom were very old, and things felt poorly organized. Breakfast was cheap, and I preferred it to my company cafeteria. Definitely not somewhere I’d repeat.

The owner and staff were extremely kind and helpful, and breakfast was plentiful. The waitress was especially friendly and ready to help. The rooms were a real problem for me. Because of some issues, I had to move between two single rooms. Both were old, with worn, shabby furniture, and one had a broken wardrobe door and mirror. Cleaning seemed superficial. I did notice that some rooms had new furniture.

We liked Gabicce Mare and would definitely return to the town, but probably choose another hotel next time. I’d give this place a maximum of 7, not the 8.4 it has on Booking.com. The staff were friendly and helpful, the location is excellent, right on the beach in a popular resort town, and the air conditioning was quiet and effective. The room, about 15 square meters, felt far too small for three people and three beds, so I don’t think it works as a triple room. The beds themselves wobbled and creaked with even the slightest movement, and the spring mattresses felt extremely cheap and low quality. I slept badly for all five nights and was stiff by the end, despite not usually having sleep or back problems. The water in the dining room was another serious issue. Whether it came straight from the tap or from a well, it tasted terrible and spoiled hot drinks. I couldn’t finish my coffee on the first day, and the tea was undrinkable. In my view, a three-star hotel shouldn’t serve guests water like that.

After reading the reviews and having a very bad experience with the owner myself, I feel lucky that I never stayed in this extremely cramped place.
