Maison d'O - B&B

The food was very disappointing. Dinner and breakfast felt more like a company canteen than a restaurant, and during the COVID pandemic I didn’t expect to have to use a buffet instead of being served at the table. At checkout, we were shocked by the extra prices: 10 euros for half a litre of house wine in a carafe and 3.50 euros for 1 litre of sparkling water. The water and wine weren’t included in the service. It’s not about whether the hotel is 3 or 4 stars, but the attention to detail just wasn’t there. Many customers look at us, and there’s definitely room to improve. The building is quite run down, and the room needs updating. Everything was very dated, with practically no toiletries. The wellness bathrobes we rented weren’t clean and were three sizes too big. When I asked to exchange them, reception was only fairly friendly. Even if the hotel has a laundry room, I think the robes should be returned sealed with a sanitization certificate. They also paid little attention to pandemic rules: nobody asked us for a green pass to enter the wellness area. The dining room staff, though, were very attentive and friendly.
