Felicity Residence

Exceptional.

The staff were attentive and always tried to help with guests’ requests, even when they were the ones facing complaints. The owners, who live at the residence, were unprofessional, though. At 1:30 a.m. they sang and played piano, ignoring the schedule, which felt very rude to guests. The place also made a poor first impression. Some amenities shown on the website weren’t there, and the apartment was very worn, with broken cabinet handles and broken or missing toilet seats. The price was nowhere near fair for the services offered. This is a negative review, but I hope it can be a starting point for improving the building in this pearl of Salento.

We stayed during the first week of June and found the apartment had everything we needed. There’s a rooftop pool with a beautiful view, and they work with several beach clubs that provide a shuttle. The location is handy too, within easy walking distance of both the seafront and the historic center.

There are some useful features: every room has a balcony, there’s an elevator, a refrigerator and coffee machine in the room, housekeeping comes daily or every other day, and there’s a rooftop pool. The location near the center and sea is good. But the place is poorly insulated and not very clean. We only saw the receptionist three times during our 12 days, even though he’s meant to be there from 9 a.m. to noon and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. There’s no hotel parking, though nearby spaces were easy to find. Wheelchair access isn’t possible because there are stairs at the entrance. There was no check-in or check-out, and we weren’t told how to reach the pool or what to do when leaving. Fine for a weekend, I wouldn’t recommend it for a week.
