The owner, Dario, and his wife often came across as rude and unkind. It felt as if they thought our being young meant we couldn’t complain or give our opinion. We tried to discuss a lower price because of the house’s condition, but they kept sending us to the agency. We contacted the agency several times, including on WhatsApp, and got no reply during our entire seven-day stay. The place didn’t match the photos on AirBnB and Booking, and the week at Villa Cotriero fell well short of what we expected. There were obvious problems right from arrival. The bedrooms and bathroom in the second apartment were dirty and run-down in places, as was apartment 1. Outside, the plants were withered and the area neglected, with rust, holes, stains, and dirty cushions without covers. The washing machine shown in the advert had been left in the outdoor bar area. It was a very unpleasant stay. At that price, everything should have been impeccable. We won’t be back, and I can’t recommend it.
