The room was dated, but it worked fine for a few nights. Just be prepared for poor sleep: the walls are paper thin, there’s a lot of noise from outside, and the balconies are shared. The hotel has charm, though it’s showing its age. Breakfast was a disappointment, served in a basement that was really busy, with little choice. I’d only recommend it for the price, which was 90 euro a night for two people.

The pizza was good, and I didn’t use the pool. The terrace with the balcony was nice, and so was the bed, but the TV didn’t have a music channel. They switched off the AC to save money. There wasn’t enough warm water coming through the shower, so you had to settle for a cold shower to get decent flow. That’s ridiculous when the room price wasn’t economical at all.

The location is the one positive thing. The food was horrible, and the staff weren’t helpful. They even refused to give me a cup of ice for my drink, saying it was only for the bar, not for the room. The price isn’t worth it, especially when I found plenty of much cheaper Air BNB’s down the road. The rooms have no airflow, so one facing the sun gets unbearably hot. Air conditioning in Europe can be poor, but curtains on the windows would at least help. This place needs to close and be completely renovated. It unfortunately made my Lake Garda experience miserable.

We stayed for a weekend and thought it was good value for money. The hotel is close to the lake, the historic area, and the bus station for the airport, all a five to ten-minute walk away. The room, bathroom, and other areas were very clean, and the air conditioner kept the room at a nice temperature. The staff were super friendly. The pool was big enough and clean, and though the rooms have an old style that reminded us of an Italian grandma’s house, everything was spotless. Breakfast and dinner were both delicious, with plenty of choices. Breakfast was a buffet with eggs, fresh tomatoes and cucumber, cheese, and more. Dinner had an antipasti buffet, then a first and second course. We could choose between two pasta dishes, then meat or fish. Dinner only lasted an hour and a half, so we felt rushed. If it starts at 8, get there early. Breakfast had two hours, which was fine. A few things could improve: the bed creaked whenever you turned, and different pillows would be nice. A small fridge and kettle would help guests on longer stays, and a longer dinner service would mean we didn’t have to hurry. I hope prices stay the same so we can come back for another weekend.
