We spent four nights here and slept well in a large room with two big beds, clean sheets, and clean towels. There’s no air conditioning, but the weather wasn’t too hot, and we didn’t even need one of the two fans the property manager brought us. This isn’t a five-star hotel, and the price makes that clear, so we didn’t see much point in complaining about little things. What you get is nature, real quiet, and excellent traditional food cooked by the owner. Dinner wasn’t part of the room price, but it was very reasonably priced and worth it. We ate out in Castiglione della Pescaia on the second night, about 20 minutes away, and paid more for food that wasn’t as good as the night before. If you want to get away from city noise, relax among the greenery, eat well, and spend evenings under the stars, this is a lovely place. Its simplicity and the people running it are its strengths. The only disappointment was that we couldn’t buy the jams served at breakfast. The lady explained, reluctantly, that she hadn’t made much in the past few months and needed the small amount left for breakfasts for future guests. We also met the woman who wrote “nightmare night” :D, and she had already anticipated how different our review would be.

Since my first visit in August this year, I’ve returned several times when I needed to go back to Castiglione della Pescaia. It’s a comfortable, pleasant place, and the owners are exceptionally kind and helpful. I never had dinner there, though the smells were wonderful. Breakfast was excellent, with cakes and jams made by Mrs. Luisa. Highly recommended.

A homey agriturismo in the Tuscan Maremma where you can relax and eat well. Mrs. Luisa is a very good cook, and the portions are always generous. Mr. Roberto is wonderful company, and Zoe, the house mascot, is the best part. The small pool among the olive trees makes the stay even nicer. The property feels a bit dated, and the furnishings could use more care. When it’s very hot, having fans instead of air conditioning is uncomfortable. The location is handy for reaching tourist spots and the sea. If you don’t expect too much, it’s a great quality-for-price option.

For a peaceful break in the Maremma hills with lovely home cooking, this is an easy place to recommend. Luisa, Roberto, and Tommaso are welcoming and easy to talk with, and they know a lot about the world around them. Luisa cooks beautifully, Tommaso is a talented pastry chef, and Roberto keeps guests entertained with his knowledge. ZOE, their charming Spinone dachshund, is a top-notch mascot. Simple, comfortable, and a lovely setting. See you soon, Erica, Renato, Mattia, and Andrea.

August 2022. The centuries-old olive trees and peaceful setting make this family-run farm a lovely place to stay. Luisa and her son prepare excellent home cooking with real care, and everyone was kind and welcoming. Recommended. Marina and Giampietro
