Breakfast was the letdown. Otherwise, it's an appealing, authentic hotel with nicely furnished rooms and attractive bathrooms. If you're tired of chain hotels, this place should suit you.

Mary was wonderful during the many shiatsu massages we had. We loved the spa, and the staff were all lovely, professional, and excellent. My husband and I are already looking forward to coming back next year.

A very quaint setting, but our rooms varied a lot in quality. I stayed overnight with two colleagues, and one room's air conditioning was broken. On a hot summer day it became like a sauna.

4/10
The staff were unfriendly, and cleanliness was questionable. The hotel seems to have been left in the 1990s, with no modern amenities.

The setting is beautiful, and the hotel itself is stunning.
