In five years of traveling, this was the best place I've stayed. Sabrina is a wonderful host, and her B & B is clean, comfortable, pretty, and thoughtfully arranged, with lots of windows. The shared bathroom is well maintained and has strong water pressure. There's even a light in your room that tells you when someone's using the bathroom. WiFi worked well, and the kitchen was fine for making simple meals. Breakfast was good, and public transport is easy to reach.

We had nice weather, at least. The rest of the stay was the worst B&B experience I've had, and I'd strongly tell people to avoid it. If I could rate it below zero, I would. Getting to the parking area was awful: a steep, rocky, narrow road that was hard to drive. My lowered car scraped the bottom several times. For safety, I left it up top and only drove down at checkout, which meant taking the bus and losing valuable time. The rooms looked nothing like the photos. The blankets were damp and moldy, the bed was terribly uncomfortable, the electrical outlets didn't work, and the toilet was the most cramped I've ever used. Its door wouldn't shut, either. We couldn't get hold of the landlady when we arrived, then waited half an hour while she showed us by video how to get into the room. Breakfast had been left there the night before, and we didn't eat it. When we asked for extra tea and toilet paper, she replied curtly about the tea and forgot the toilet paper, so we had to remind her. It felt like the start of a horror movie.

At €92 a night, I expected better. Breakfast was a joke if you're hungry: everything was rationed, with packaged rusks, a plastic-wrapped croissant, one tea bag, and one coffee pad. It feels like they're just taking the money without investing in the place. The road up is narrow and steep. When we arrived, all we got was a WhatsApp video showing how to reach our room, and there were several flights of stairs. The roof is damaged and leaks, and there are several water marks from leaks on the room walls. Two outlets by the bed are broken, so we had to unplug the lamps to charge our phones. The bathroom grout is moldy, and its broken door won't close. With two people in the room, you can hear each other doing just about everything.

The staff were so kind and helpful. The room was simple and cozy, exactly how I like it. Outside, there's a lovely garden with spectacular plants, a perfect shady spot for a relaxing evening aperitif. It has a peaceful, family-friendly feel.

The owner was incredibly welcoming and helpful, and the place has a lot of potential. A few easily fixable things, though, made me give it two stars. I'm sharing these suggestions in the hope they help. The room itself looked nice at first, and the beds were comfortable, but the clothes rack had only three or four hangers, all different, including ones meant for children or small items. They weren't useful. A few more matching hangers would make it easier to stay longer. As it is, it feels set up for a quick stopover. We had the room with a bathroom, and its folding door did nothing for privacy and made a shocking noise. We were two people sharing the room for work, and it was awkward to use the bathroom. At night, one person's trip to the bathroom would wake the other. The tiny bathroom had no towel rack, so you had to go back out to the room for towels after showering, and there were no shelves for soap or sponges. Even simple hanging silicone shelves would work. The first impression outside wasn't good. The exterior is neglected, and the entrance hall is cluttered with things that should be thrown away. It was dirty and felt like an abandoned old country home for the elderly. A sweep, clearing broken things away, and a few flower pots would make it much more inviting. Inside, the WiFi password was impossible to figure out: three handwritten sticky notes on a noticeboard, each with different passwords and corrections, none of which worked. A clearly written password on a piece of cardboard would be much easier. Early in the morning, before showering, we opened the lower bathroom cabinet looking for a water heater. It was dirty, with used, dirty rags inside. Breakfast, the welcoming atmosphere, and the shared fridge were issues too. The fridge was dirty, and the full garbage cans should be emptied. That's not something guests should have to deal with. It's a beautiful place, though a bit tricky to reach. It feels like the owner sees it as an old relationship to neglect because time has made it permanent, instead of something new to build and care for. Come on!!!!!
