Hotel Bel Soggiorno

The people working there were great, and you could get breakfast if you wanted a pleasant start to the day. Our room was outstanding. The hotel is a short cab ride from Genova Brignole, with the upscale stretch along Via XX Septembre nearby. Piazza Ferrari and the Sophrano Gate area are an easy walk away.

We could walk to everything from here, which made the location a real plus. The room was spotless and smelled nice; its high ceilings also made it seem bigger than it was. The pillows felt a little flat, though the bed itself was comfortable. It came across as a higher grade hotel than its three stars suggest, and the price and quality struck a good balance.

We were very happy with our one night here. The receptionist moved us to a bigger room, and everyone we dealt with was warm and helpful. The hotel was clean and quiet even though it faces a main road. Breakfast was lovely, especially the delicious coffee. My only small gripe was that the pillows weren't comfortable for me as a sensitive sleeper.

We had a great family holiday in Genoa, and Bel Soggiorno was part of that. It’s right in the heart of the city, about five minutes from the main square and under ten from Genova Brignole station. Bars, shops, markets, restaurants and a bus stop are downstairs or within 100 m. After three nights, I have nothing but good things to say about the place, its cleanliness and location. The room, toilet, sheets and towels were all spotless, even by my very particular standards. Congratulations to the housekeeping ladies. Breakfast was good and healthy, with plenty of fruit, tasty brioches and focaccia. The espresso deserves a special mention too, it was strong and delicious every morning. The front desk team were excellent across all three shifts. My favourite was the red-haired lady with glasses, who helped my family with everything. We send our love and best wishes to all the staff, and congratulations to management for bringing together such a wonderful team. ♥️♥️♥️
