The service was great and breakfast was very good, though the busy street made things a bit noisy. The location works well for walking around the historic area. It’s a historic property, but it feels dated and needs freshening up. There’s no air conditioning. The rooms are large, but the furniture doesn’t suit modern travel, and the beds need updating. The bed was so short my feet touched the footboard. Historic, yes, but dated too.

The bar staff were so friendly and made us feel welcome, and stepping outside put us straight onto marble floors, close to great shopping and restaurants. Our January '25 stay also had the Christmas decorations still up, and they were gorgeous. The hotel felt like a palace as soon as we walked in. Our room was like a fairytale, with breathtaking windows and drapes. It has to be the most incredible hotel we’ve ever stayed in. We loved it!

I’ve stayed in several rooms here, all with high ceilings and classic interiors that give the place a refined feel. The staff are courteous and proactive, and Sara at reception gave me especially helpful personal recommendations. I’ve come back before and will gladly return. The location is prime, and arriving felt very welcoming. Special thanks to Davide, the polite, professional doorman. Valet parking in a private garage gave me complete peace of mind.

We spent three nights here and were glad we’d booked such a lovely hotel. Genoa itself didn’t really appeal to us, as it felt dirty and scruffy, but the staff were excellent and always ready to help. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the location was ideal.

We brought our dog, and the hotel was truly pet-friendly, with attentive service for them too. The staff were kind and professional, and the service overall was excellent. We had a wonderful stay at the Bristol Hotel in Genoa. Highly recommended 🐶✨
