Hotel Le Tre Stazioni

As MSC Cruise Line crew, we were very disappointed with how checkout was handled. No checkout time had been mentioned by reception when we checked in, but the cabin steward knocked and rudely told us to leave the room immediately because checkout time had passed. We were due to be picked up for the airport at 16.00. The whole experience left us really disappointed.

There was no elevator at the back of the hotel, so in the morning we had to take our luggage down the stairs. I also waited more than 15 minutes for coffee and never got the receptionist's attention. She was on the phone organizing her weekend and watching news on YouTube at the same time. The waiter was rude too. The staff were very unfriendly and unprofessional. The receptionist was rude and seemed in no mood to work. Service and conditions were 0/10, with a general lack of professionalism.

The hotel was right on the water, close enough that I could almost reach out and touch the cruise ships. In my room, the shower vent didn't work, and getting hot water took anywhere from 5-25 minutes. The lift to the lobby is switched off from midnight until 6, so keep snacks and water in your room.

After a long day of travel, I spent 30 minutes waiting in the lobby. They forgot about me and took guests who arrived later to their rooms first. Eventually they sent me to a room in another building, watching me struggle through Genova with my large suitcase. Only then did they realize they'd had the wrong keys the whole time. Very, very disorganized and unprofessional.
