You can pay by debit or credit card. The owners are warm and courteous, and breakfast is served by the residents, which makes this feel like one of the few genuine bed and breakfasts. The place is a little dated and could do with a refresh.

Breakfast was generous, and the room was spacious, with air conditioning, a TV, and a refrigerator. I spent a week there, and the owners were kind, helpful, and attentive. Everything was impeccably clean, the prices were reasonable, and I'll be back!

I stayed at B&B Il Gelsomino from December 4th to 7th, and the incense smell throughout the apartment was nauseating. The rooms were clean, but mediocre, with practically no heating and no extra blankets. Breakfast was mediocre too. The bathroom, shared with two other rooms, was clean, though the tub was in very bad shape and had no showerhead bracket or curtain. WiFi was nonexistent, and the TV in the room didn't work. In my opinion, it isn't suitable for the service it's listed as.
