B&B Teocle

We fell in love with Teocle b & b and would love to return. Paola, the young owner, welcomed us. The place has been running since 2013, and we found the location, cleanliness, room, and services all excellent. It’s only 15 metres from the sea. Cross the road and you can swim in Giardini’s clear water, beneath the statue of Theocles, the first Greek sailor said to have discovered this land and returned with others to found Sicily’s first Greek colony. There are four rooms, plus shared dining and kitchen areas and a terrace where you can eat and use the fridge. We stayed in the special Captain's Room, with a music-enabled hydromassage shower and its own terrace. It was lovely to relax there in the breeze, looking out at the Ionian Sea and Taormina. Breakfast used to be served on the terrace, but during covid it was at La Dolceria pastry shop downstairs. We had coffee granita, ice cream, and brioche. Paola also gave us thoughtful recommendations for dining and scooter rental. We rented a 125 cc scooter for a day from Seminara rent for 45 euros, delivered and picked up right under the b & b. There’s broadband wifi and air conditioning, though sleeping with the windows open to the sound of the surf was wonderful.

Paola and her mother were lovely local hosts. We enjoyed the Sicilian breakfast, and it’s close to Taormina’s main beaches. A great place, recommended!

Paula was honest and someone I felt I could trust. The room was clean and comfortable, with a breathtaking sea view. A wonderful place, highly recommended.

A relaxed, open, cozy place, with friendly people and everything clean and great. The kids liked it too. The air conditioning worked well. There was traffic noise, but it didn’t bother me much.
