B&B Villa Giada

The pool, barbecue and hot tub made for a relaxing stay, and there were two lovely fluffy dogs with great manners. Angelo and his family were incredibly kind and tried to help even though we didn’t speak the same language. The rooms were tidy and comfortable, with a working fridge. The bathroom is a little dated but does the job. I’ll remember this quiet place as a home for a while. It was the most relaxing stop on our trip through Italy.

I spent four lovely nights there. It’s away from everything, though the shops are less than 15 minutes away.

We happened across this property among the many places recommended on Booking.com and booked after being drawn in by the great reviews. It turned out to be the best choice we could’ve made. The B&B sits out in the countryside, away from the noise and bustle, and feels like a peaceful retreat. It’s beautiful outside and stunning inside. The villa and its garden are cared for in such detail, with all sorts of plants and flowers to discover around every corner. The pool was the highlight, and my son didn’t want to leave. The rooms are lovely, well kept and comfortable, with thoughtful extras like a shoe rack in the entrance and a drying rack with clothes pegs on the shared terrace. Breakfast was exceptional, with lots of choice and quality ingredients, and Mrs. Nancy personally looked after it. She was kind and helpful. Guests are also given free still and sparkling water in the room fridge, at breakfast, and whenever they ask during the day. I mention that because I haven’t come across the same care and attention to guests anywhere else.

The sea is beautiful, and the villa is handy for reaching public beaches and lidos. Outside, there’s a lovely area with a small pool, though it’s only fairly well maintained. The rooms are spacious and clean, but the place could use renovation and modernization. Breakfast was poor. The owner was discreet and helpful, while the hostess didn’t seem very friendly.
