The no-elevator situation is worth knowing, though Adriana will help with the bags if that’s the problem. I booked at the last minute with my dachshund and got lucky: the room was basic but roomy and clean, right on the beach. There’s a huge shared kitchen and living area opening onto a terrace. I watched the lovely sunset over Stromboli there, then had breakfast before setting off. Adriana was professional and so kind, making us two delicious coffees and offering fresh fruit and a warm croissant. She made us feel at home.

We arrived on a whim, called ahead, and were welcomed quickly and warmly. The bathroom was a little cramped, but breakfast was excellent and came with a direct ocean view. They also let us leave our motorcycles in the secure entrance area, which was fantastic.

We were a group of nine, and the place worked well for us. The photos are an accurate guide, so the value for money is excellent. The woman who greeted us was extremely helpful and kind, and did her best to meet all our needs. The small bathrooms are the one drawback, but the breakfast, with both sweet and savory choices, is a real highlight. We spent relaxing evenings on the panoramic terrace above the sea, and the place felt like home.

A quiet, lovely place, kept very clean and managed really well. I had a great stay and would recommend it!
