The staff were really kind, and there's a big TV room where you can watch movies. The hotel sits on a hill with gorgeous views, and the rooms are very cute, each with its own theme.

We felt at home from the moment we arrived, thanks to how friendly and welcoming the staff were. The location is quiet, with a good local restaurant right next door. The sea is about 15 minutes away, and there are places nearby for cycling, horse riding, and visiting small towns known for their excellent food. Le Marche is beautiful and feels authentic, with rolling hills and sea views, and it still seems to be away from the main tourist routes. We'd love to come back. Castello di Granarola itself has been restored beautifully, bringing together the old character and modern comforts. Our room was spacious and even had a kitchen, and breakfast was generous and tasty. The pool and terrace have wonderful views, especially at sunset with an aperitivo. There were special events during the week too. Tuesday's BBQ dinner featured local food and a great atmosphere. On Thursday, the “Follow the Sun” aperitivo came with live music, a lovely way to wind down as the sun went over the hills.

I stayed with my daughter in March in the beautiful “La torre dell’artista” room. It’s in a tower first built in the 10th century and renovated from 2007-2013. With its many windows, the view is beyond words. Every detail feels made with inspiration and care, and if you’re sensitive to energies, this place may feel like a source of renewal. I’ve traveled all over and stayed in many hotels, but this is my favorite so far. Every room is a one-of-a-kind work by the talented artist and owner Marco Morosini. The place was very, very clean. The sheets were new, bright white, and pressed, the conditioner smelled lovely, and the terracotta floor was heated underneath, which felt like a dream. In the garden overlooking the hills, the castle, and the sea, there’s a Finnish sauna and Jacuzzi. There’s also a bedroom without walls tucked away in a secluded part of the forested garden. Breakfast was beautiful to look at and absolutely delicious. It was served in a glass room beneath a Jasmin pergola, near the pool, with a view of the bay of Rimini and the hills of Parco St. Bartolo. The hotel has its own bakery, making first-class treats with some great vegan choices. Everyone on staff was patient and genuinely friendly. We arrived late at night, and receptionist Michelle came out to welcome us, show us where to park, and help us in. The woman serving breakfast was cheerful and kind, and we had a lovely chat. The next day I had a fascinating, heartwarming conversation with Victoria, another receptionist. She knows so much and told me about the area's history and art, shared great recommendations, and was a joy to talk with. This is a rare place that still feels untouched by the modern consumer world. Being here made me feel that art and free thought can give humanity hope. It was a special stay, and I hope I can return many more times to the fabulous Castello do Granarola.

Don't be fooled by the signs on the street. This isn't a castle you can go in and visit, it's a private hotel. My review is only about the fact that visitors can't go inside, not about the hotel itself.
