The central location and peaceful feel made it easy to unwind and enjoy Grassano. We stayed at B&B Vigna del Duca with four friends in mid-September, on our way back from the Cammino Materano, and it was an ideal choice. Maddalena and her husband welcomed us so warmly into their apartment. The rooms, bathrooms, and kitchen were spotless and had everything we needed. Fresh jams and croissants at breakfast were the finishing touch. We highly recommend it and will be back.

Grassano was lovely to explore, and makes a useful base for Matera, the Lucanian Dolomites, and other points of interest. We enjoyed finding the plaques and quotations about Carlo Levi, who was confined in Grassano for a few weeks, and who wrote about enjoying his time there in "Christ Stopped at Eboli." We had a wonderful stay and will return. We spent two nights at the B&B with our dog. It’s only a short walk from the main square and the Grassano walls, with lovely views of the Apennines along paths through nature and history. Our room was clean, comfortable, warm, and looked onto a small outdoor patio. The whole property is fenced. Parking was easy and free just outside the gate. Maddalena was attentive to what we needed and welcomed us warmly. She made us an excellent breakfast with quality homemade treats, including orange marmalade, fig biscuits, and delicious cakes. The place was comfortable and well organized.

The price was good, and the self-service breakfast was more than adequate. It’s a clean, welcoming B&B in a quiet spot, with somewhere to park a motorcycle. The people running it were friendly and attentive. Recommended.

Carmela was so kind, and her homemade desserts made breakfast delicious. The rooms were clean and smelled fresh, and the location was quiet with lovely views. Everything was perfect.
