Hotel Dufour

The hotel is well placed, close to the town center and the cableway up to the Punta Jolanda ski area. There’s also a nearby bus station, handy for getting to and from the other villages in the valley. It’s a very comfortable, clean three-star hotel with spacious rooms and features that could easily make it a four-star. The internal lounge and outdoor terrace are both large, well furnished, and comfortable. On the fourth floor, the wood-lined spa has a mountain feel, with a hydromassage, sauna, steam bath, and comfortable relaxation areas. The internal restaurant serves breakfast and dinner for half-board guests, and is open to outside guests as well. The staff are kind, and the service is excellent.

The location next to punta jolanda is ideal, and the food was brilliant. I was well catered for as a vegan, and there’s an extensive wine list. It’s a friendly hotel, though the rooms are basic and the shower takes a while to get hot water through.

I stopped for one night at short notice after a very long journey, and the restaurant food was superb, the best I’ve had the pleasure of eating at any hotel in Italy. The room was wonderful too, and the local wine I had with the meal was top class. Absolutely fantastic hotel. I’m going to book a full week at The Hotel Dufor next year. Can’t wait to return.
