The owners were so kind and helpful, sharing useful tips about the area, and the family atmosphere made me feel at home right away. The rooms were spacious, tastefully furnished, and very clean. Breakfast had fresh, high-quality sweet and savory options, a lovely way to start the day. The B&B is just a few minutes from Monterosa ski, with a shuttle service included, so it worked really well as a base for winter sports. I’d recommend it to families, couples, groups of friends, and anyone who loves skiing or the mountains. If you’re after a welcoming, authentic stay in Gressoney, this is a great choice.

Luisa is the kind of host who’ll stop for a chat, as well as being incredibly sweet, friendly, and helpful. Her husband, Jose, works more behind the scenes but was really nice and helpful too. The peaceful setting has a little garden, and from behind the mountain you can hear a waterfall. I loved the calm there and would have stayed another day if I could. I’ll definitely keep Fohre1748 in mind for next year. My room had a lovely glacier view to wake up to. It was spotless, with daily cleaning available if you want it, and the bed and pillow were so comfortable I didn’t need the spare pillow. The bathroom was large and beautiful, with a shower big enough for two. There was a mini shower kit, lovely body lotion I’m tempted to buy for home, a large TV, complimentary water, excellent welcome sweets, and a kettle with herbal teas. Breakfast was spectacular. I went for the sweet options, including pancakes with chocolate or pistachio cream, chocolate croissants, fresh apricot jam, and orange, apple, and blueberry juice. There were jams too. I saw cheese, hard-boiled eggs, speck, fresh rolls, and another sliced meat on the savory side, though I was craving sweet food and didn’t try them.

We’ve already booked that same lovely room for next year. Breakfast deserves a special mention, with everything from savory to sweet homemade and delicious. Luisa and her husband made us feel at home from the moment we arrived, and their hospitality was top marks. Fohre 1748 is kept in great shape and sits in a strategic spot, with breathtaking views of Monte Rosa. It’s rare to find hotel rooms this clean and well maintained.

We stayed in the apartment, which was spacious, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed. The mattresses were excellent and the cleanliness impeccable. We could still enjoy breakfast, with a quality and variety of sweet and savory choices worthy of a 4-star hotel. Luisa and her husband were genuinely kind, welcoming, and very friendly. We had a wonderful weekend at the end of March despite the little snow, and hope to come back in summer.
