We felt right at home thanks to the kind hosts, who were always there if we needed anything. The villa was clean, well cared for, and had everything we needed. Set among Chianti’s vineyards and olive trees, it was peaceful and private, with beautiful views. We had a wonderful time at Villa Ulivello and would happily come back for another relaxing stay in the Tuscan countryside.

The owner and family were really friendly, and their son found us a good deal on a trip to Siena and San Gimignano, which saved us a lot of trouble. There’s no pool, but the rooms are large and airy, the WiFi is good, and in summer there’s a restaurant and wine tours. The agriturismo is right on the bus route to Firenze, with the 365A stopping outside about every half hour.

Leaving was so hard, I could happily have stayed there forever, and I hope to visit again soon. Our room, Grottesche, was amazing, especially watching the sunset from the window. The hosts and staff were so lovely and friendly, and I’ve never had food that good.

The food and wine were so good. We stayed in a house that’s over 100 years old, and the hosts were incredibly sweet and looked after us so well. They made the whole stay comfortable.

It’s a handy base for visiting other towns in Tuscany, and Florence is a short drive away by car or public transport. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Everyone on staff was friendly, especially our helpful host Federico. We also really enjoyed the Tuscan food, breakfast, and wine.
