This place is absolutely beautiful. I come back every year!

We left early because too many things were wrong, especially the pool, which was the main reason we booked. With temperatures above 34°C, it kept having problems. At first it couldn't be used at all: the pump was broken, the water was cloudy and greenish, and it didn't seem hygienic. It took three days to get it repaired, and even then it only worked briefly. A leak meant water had to be added constantly, the water quality got worse, and green algae formed. There was no routine maintenance or water testing, and no on-site help. The hygiene felt unsafe throughout, especially with our children there. The house is in a beautiful spot and has a good size, but it needs serious renovation and upkeep. Furniture, bathrooms, mattresses, and appliances were dated, and some things were broken. The bathrooms were tiny, with moldy grout, missing tile joints, and weak water pressure. Some mattresses were so worn we could feel the springs, and the beds were narrow. The house had not been properly cleaned when we arrived, so we cleaned it ourselves. The outdoor area also seemed neglected. There was seating for only six at the dining table, so a larger group has to improvise. The terrace is long but narrow and makes it hard to move around. There were other maintenance problems too. Some doors scraped the floor or wouldn't close properly, toilet seats were loose, and door seals were missing. The house was very noisy overall. Getting there meant taking a bumpy dirt road with a steep slope, difficult for an ordinary car. Communication was hard, with very limited English, no direct support at the property, and no timely response when we reported issues. There is ample parking, and the pool loungers were in good condition, but the parking area is fully exposed to the sun. One parasol isn't enough for a property this size. The location and size have potential, but the current condition is unacceptable for the price. It doesn't seem to be regularly maintained or professionally managed. Anyone booking should understand these limitations, especially if they are counting on a pool that continues to be neglected.

At night it's incredibly peaceful, and the house is spacious, though its interior feels a bit dated. It's in a beautiful spot overlooking the Chianti hills. Walking down to town takes about 15 minutes, with a climb back up to keep in mind. A wonderful place!

The view is lovely and the location is very good, but the place isn't entirely clean and feels rather run-down. It needs renovation.
